Description:  Perennial shrub, grows to about 3 feet.  Violet blue (sometimes other colors) spikes extend above foliage.  Harvest flowers in summer for maximum strength of oils.  60 pounds of flowers = 16 oz. oil

Uses: Burn as incense, drink in tea, and/or place in a sachet to bring restful sleep and calm.   

Safety ConsiderationsUterine stimulant; avoid high doses during pregnancy.   Limonene in Lavender can cause photosensitivity.  Do not apply oil to skin without a carrier such as grapeseed oil.
